Upcoming Event: GYIPS Event for Young Professionals in New York on April 29th, 2011

The New York Chapter of Global Young Indian Professionals and Students (GYIPS) invites all young Indian professionals in the New York area to come meet each other and also learn more about GYIPS' focus in New York and globally.

The event is being held on April 29th, 2011 at Red Sky (47 East 29th Street, intersection of 29th St and Park Ave) from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.

15th Wharton India Economic Forum in Philadelphia on April 22nd, 2011


GYIPS is also the Outreach Partner for the 15th Wharton India Economic Forum (WIEF). WIEF is the largest India-focused conference in the U.S. This year, WIEF is being held on April 22nd in Philadelphia. For more details, please visit www.whartonindia.com.

GYIPS - Mumbai Chapter
 
Global Young Indian Professionals and Students (GYIPS), in partnership with the Center for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad and Research Foundation for Governance in India (RFGI), organized another conference on ‘Exploring Opportunities for Young Indians in Government’ on August 6th, 2010. This event built upon the discussion during the conference on a similar theme held on July 3rd in New Delhi, India.

 
Speakers for the event included:

·        Mr. P.K. Laheri, former Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat
·        Ms. Shaheen Mistry, CEO, Teach for India
·        Mr. Anand Shah, Co-Founder, Indicorps

The event was attended by over 125 young professionals and graduate students from a variety of academic and professional disciplines, including IIM(A) students.


GYIPS - Delhi Chapter


The Delhi Chapter of GYIPS hosted a Conference on ‘Exploring Spaces for Young Indians in Government’ on July 3rd, 2010 at the India International Center in New Delhi, India. Speakers included:

·        Mr. Laxman Narasimhan, Director, McKinsey & Company;

·        Mr. Karan A. Singh, Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs;

·        Mr. Mukhmeet Bhatia, Officer on Special Duty to Mr. Namo Narayan Meena, Minister of State for Finance;

·        Mr. Varad Pande, Officer on Special Duty to Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Union Minister for Environment and Forests;

·        Mr. M.S Srikar, PS to Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman, UIDAI;

·        Dr. Shah Faisal, Topper, UPSC examination 2009.

GYIPS - Boston Chapter



GYIPS co-hosted an event in Cambridge, MA, on April 27, 2010, along with the Harvard India Club and the America India Foundation's- New England Young Professionals Chapter. Over 50 students and young professionals from the Boston/Cambridge area attended the event.





GYIPS - Mumbai Chapter




GYIPS co-hosted an event in Mumbai on January 6th, 2010 with CII-Young Indians, Indian Merchants' Chamber - Young Leaders Forum, American Alumni Association and the Harvard Business School Club of India. The event was attended by over 150 young professionals from Mumbai as well as students from Wharton Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Law School and Harvard Medical School.
